Brewingstation
A hands-on brewing setup for beer and whiskey. Keep an eye on it while it works.
How brewing works
The Brewingstation consists of a kettle, an oven, a timer and a whistle. The kettle is two blocks tall, so it needs one more free block above it. It has no menu, everything happens by hand.
1. Fill the kettle with a Water Bucket.
2. Add three ingredients by right clicking the kettle with them.
3. Light the oven with any fuel.
4. Press the button on the Brew Timer to start.
Look at the station to see the ingredients, which ones are still missing, the possible drinks and what is still needed to start: water, heat or a better Brewingstation.
Brewing takes one minute. The lid of the kettle lowers, the needle of the timer follows the progress. During that time things go wrong, and you need to react quickly:
- The oven fire gets weak: add more fuel.
- The timer rings: press it.
- The kettle boils over: take water out with an empty Bucket.
- The whistle blows and the kettle runs dry: refill it with a Water Bucket.
The more of these events you handle, the more drinks you get and the better their quality. Quality 2 needs at least three solved events with at most one missed, quality 3 needs at least four solved events and none missed. Quality is shown with barrel icons on the drink. Leave too many unanswered, or let the kettle overflow, and angry Booze climbs out of the brew.
You can watch the brew: the ingredients float in the kettle, and after a few seconds the water slowly turns yellow for beer or brown for whiskey.
When it is done, take the drinks out with the right container: beer with a Beer Mug, whiskey with a Glass Bottle.
